Accessibility at SPORTERRIFIC
SPORTERRIFIC is built so sport can be experienced regardless of how someone interacts with a screen. A person who cannot see the screen should be able to discover sports, find events, find their shots, understand a photograph or video, browse and purchase professional sports photography, upload media, communicate and manage their account — without requiring sighted assistance.
Visual when you want it. Audio when you need it. Accessible by default.
What we support
- Screen-reader support with clear accessible names on controls, live-region announcements for page changes, purchases and descriptions.
- Audio Navigation Mode — optional spoken guidance with adjustable speed, voice and guidance level, designed to complement your operating-system screen reader.
- Describe This Photo / Describe This Video — AI-generated sports-focused short and detailed descriptions you can read or hear, on marketplace photos and social media.
- Keyboard-only navigation with a visible focus indicator and a Skip to main content link on every page.
- Accessibility settings that work before you create an account and follow your account once you sign in: larger text, high contrast, reduced motion, captions by default.
- Respect for your device's reduce-motion preference and text-scaling settings.
- The photography marketplace follows the same requirements — nothing is visual-only to operate.
Our standard
We target WCAG 2.2 AA wherever technically possible. A SPORTERRIFIC feature is not finished when it merely works visually: it must be operable without a mouse, understandable through assistive technology, usable with enlarged text, respectful of reduced motion, and clear about errors without depending on colour or sight. Accessibility is part of our acceptance criteria for every new feature.
Known limitations
- AI descriptions are generated from a photo or a video's key frame and may occasionally miss details — owners can review and correct them from the Describe control.
- Video captions and transcripts are being rolled out progressively; live captioning for SPORTERRIFIC Live is planned.
- Voice navigation ("Go home", "Find my shots") is planned as part of the SPORTERRIFIC AI assistant; every action will always remain available through standard touch, keyboard and assistive technology.
- Map-based discovery is receiving an equivalent accessible list view so Find Your Shots never depends on a visual map.
Report an accessibility barrier
Accessibility feedback is treated as a core product issue, not general feedback, and is tracked and prioritized internally in its own accessibility category. If something onSPORTERRIFIC is hard or impossible to use with your assistive technology, please contactSPORTERRIFIC support and tell us: what you were trying to do, the page or feature involved, and the assistive technology you use. We will help you complete what you need and fix the barrier.
